I received news that I was approved for a Canada Council for the Arts Professional Development Grant for the apprenticeship I did in Weimar this summer – very encouraging! How lucky we are to have government funding for the arts here in Canada!
Here’s a short excerpt from my recital at St. George’s Anglican Church yesterday.
The Montreal-based opera magazine, ‘Revue québécoise de l’art Lyrique’ was kind enough to mention our recital with Kimberley Lynch as part of the new Soirées Lyriques series at Bar Terminal. Here’s the link!
Here’s a short clip of me practicing Brahms op. 118 Klavierstücke last week at the University of Montreal (recorded with my new LG phone). Enjoy!
We’ll be at Librarie La Flèche Rouge on December 16, 2016 with soprano Léa Weilbrenner and flautist Lélia Lemay. Léa will perform the Rückertlieder, one of Mahler’s most beautiful song cycles. The concert will also feature pieces by Brahms, Tchaikovsky, and Bach. Stop by and discover this quaint venue in Montreal’s Hochelaga neighborhood! Concert starts at 7:00 with a $10-15 suggested donation.
I recently recorded myself playing Bach’s first Partita in B flat Major at Épilogue Musique, a practice-studio rental space in Montreal. Here’s the first dance in the suite (the others are on youtube and on my media page). Enjoy!
